acrylic paint and oil spray paint with sand, coffee, tea, glitter and crushed glass on 42" x 41" canvas.
When I started this piece I only knew I wanted to use the coffee grounds and brewed tea swirled with the brown paint along the border, but that's not what I painted first. I started in on the flames and the charred wood in the center. The glitter and crushed glass mimics the rising cinders from the flames as they glint when you walk by.
