36" x 18" multimedia painting composed of acrylic and oil spray paint with oil pastels and glitter.
Anonymity was the first of my silhouette series, "Impressions." It is based on a photograph I took that exemplified her skewed perception of the feminine physical ideal. She expanded her rib cage and raised her arms to make her chest look larger and arched her back with crossed legs to push out her curves. The border of her was rubbed out with oil pastels to break up the flow of the red paint, an expression of yearning and passion to be something impossible, as it oozed out.
