Judging Facades is acrylic paint with glitter on four 12” x 12” canvases totaling 24” x 24”.
This was a breakthrough painting during my time in New York. This is the first piece where I was comfortable and happy to use a swirl of vivid colors without worrying about the stigma. I was always self-conscious about being overly effeminate but with this, I was able to settle in and enjoy the magical swirls I created.
The lion was my stamp of pride made with a hand-cut stencil.
